Jersey Shore · Est. on the boardwalk of trust

We're Rock Solid.
And we work for each other.

A community of hardworking local business owners along the Jersey Shore who meet every week, share what's working, and pass real referrals to people we trust.

I Who we are

A weekly habit of generosity.

Hey — we're BNI Rock Solid. A group of local business owners working in and around the Jersey Shore.

Every Friday at 7:00 AM, same place — we get together at DJ's of Oakhurst. We share what's going on in our businesses, who we're looking to meet, and most importantly: we pass referrals to each other. Real ones. To real people. Because when someone vouches for you, things move.

II A morning in the room

Here's how a Friday actually unfolds.

It's not a casual coffee chat — there's a rhythm to it. An hour and a half. Tight. Productive. Everyone leaves with something.

01 Each member stands up

One by one, every person in the room takes 60 seconds to share exactly who they're looking to meet that week. Not vague — specific. "A homeowner in Monmouth County renovating their kitchen." "A property manager with a vacancy." "A growing business that's outgrown spreadsheets."

That precision is the whole game. The clearer you ask, the easier it is for the other 30 people in the room to think "oh — I know exactly who that is."

02 Two members go deep

Every week, two of our members take the floor for an extended presentation — 10 minutes each to walk us through their business in detail. Their best customer. Their dream referral. Their secret sauce.

It's our way of going from "I kind of know what they do" to "I know exactly when to send them a customer."

Two members. Ten minutes each. Real depth. Equipped with quality AV so every word lands.
03 Referrals get passed

The handshake moment. Slips are filled out, names get exchanged, and by 8:30 AM, somebody's calendar somewhere has a new appointment on it.

III How a referral happens

It usually starts with a conversation over coffee.

A member mentions a client who needs something. Another member says "I know exactly who you should call." A name gets passed. A phone rings. Someone shows up on time, does what they said they'd do, and the trust compounds.

Here are five real referrals from inside the room.

A homebuyer needed an inspection before closing. The realtor reached for someone she'd seen show up week after week.
After a kitchen flood, the cleanup was the easy part. Replacing the floors meant trusting someone to match what was there.
A painter's client needed branded postcards by Friday. Two minutes later, an introduction was made.
A homebuyer was about to close on a vintage shore home. The realtor wanted a termite check before signatures — and made the call on the way to the closing.
A growing local business was drowning in spreadsheets and sticky notes — tracking referrals, customers, follow-ups, the works. Another member knew exactly the guy.
Pete's company — Segwik — is the platform that powers this very directory. Sometimes the best referrals are right under your nose.
IV Power Teams

When the right people stack, deals close faster.

Sometimes a few of us discover we keep showing up to the same kitchen tables, the same closing rooms, the same problem. So we form what's called a Power Team — a tight cluster of complementary trades that move together.

Take our Real Estate Power Team. From the moment someone wants to buy a home, this trio can carry them all the way to the keys.

This is just one team. Power Teams form naturally as our chapter grows — wherever there's a customer journey, there's a chance for trades to align.
V Notable networkers

Some of our standouts.

Generosity stacks. The members who pass the most referrals, mentor the newest faces, and quietly carry the weight of the chapter — we make sure to thank them out loud. With actual hardware.

An interlude

It's not always business…

Holiday parties. Summer cookouts. The occasional steakhouse table that runs three hours long. Plus all the random in-between moments back in the meeting room. (And yeah — even at the parties, the business kind of tags along.)
